MK Dons Under-18s are seeking back-to-back victories this weekend as they take on Exeter City in the Youth Alliance Southern Division Cup.
John Bitting’s team hit the ground running after claiming a 2-1 victory over Stevenage in the dying minutes of the game. Exeter, however, have already played two matches resulting in a win and a loss for the Grecians.
Both teams have three points to their name ahead of the clash, but the Dons look to continue their winning ways as they travel South-West.
THE OPPOSITION
Exeter City started their 2022/2023 campaign with a 2-0 loss away to Bournemouth. Soon after, the Grecians used this defeat to bounce back in their next fixture against Swindon Town, which resulted in a 4-1 victory to Exeter.
With one home victory under their belt, Exeter looks to replicate the same standard of performance which allowed them to recently net four on their home ground.
LAST TIME OUT
MK Dons played their first Youth Alliance match against Stevenage away, which resulted in a 2-1 victory, courtesy of Tommy Blennerhassett’s brace. The striker delivered late drama which secured the victory for the Dons.
Exeter City put on a dominant display in their first home game of the season, netting four goals against Swindon Town and conceding once which allowed them to climb up to third within their group.
THE NEW SCHOLARS
MK Dons announced their latest intake of scholars ahead of the 2022/23 season, these include: Joshua Adepoju, Kyle Boyce, Edwin Daffern, Isaac Olaleye, Corvell Pickering, Charlie Stirland, Callum Tripp and Albert Wood.
