Liam Manning isn’t expecting any Deadline Day activity at Stadium MK, with Joshua Kayode set to be MK Dons’ 14th and final summer arrival.
A busy transfer window has seen the Dons register close to 30 transactions in or out since the start of July, with 13 players departing the Football Club and 14 coming in through the door.
While the window remains open until 11pm on Thursday, Manning is content with the work done this summer and isn’t expecting MK Dons to be involved in any Deadline Day drama.
“From our perspective, that's us done unless some crazy offers come in,” Manning told the media following Tuesday’s Papa John’s Trophy tie with Cheltenham Town. “We expect it to be extremely quiet on deadline day.
“I've been really pleased with the business we've done. We've set the club up for the short, medium and long term with some of the signings we've made and it's exciting to see where they can go
“We've seen some of that potential in the last few weeks but that doesn't mean we've cracked it - we've still got work to do
“I'm looking forward to having some days on the training pitch (in September) after eight games in August because it doesn’t happen overnight - what we're asking the guys to do, some of them have never done it like this in their lives.”
Manning concluded: “I'm happy with where the squad is overall, but we now need to work to push them to get better.”
