Twine: We were all on top of it

Scott Twine shared his thoughts with iFollow MK Dons after a 2-0 victory over Shrewsbury Town…

4 April 2022

A victory over the Shrews resulted in the Dons gathering three points, whilst also allowing them to hold an accolade of being the team with the current, longest unbeaten run in English football this season.

Twine contributed to both goals in the win, providing both an assist and goal. The attacking midfielder was questioned about this game’s performance, he responded with: “we were all on top of it today

“We’ve had a while since we last played, so it was nice to be out there, it was a good afternoon and great to get a win as well.”

Questions then focused on Twine’s goal, which solidified the victory. The number nine shared his thoughts on increasing his goal-scoring tally:

“I was going off the defenders, I was just trying to get it through their legs or trying to hit it around them.

“I knew that if I was to hit it past the defenders low and hard, then it always has a chance of going in.”

Even though he holds the achievement of being MK Dons’ current top goal-scorer and assister this season, the 22-year-old seeks to achieve more, stating:

“I want to score more goals, I want to assist more goals, I’m not happy with the amount I’ve scored this year, I still want to get more.

“That’s something that I will be working on, in order to help the team as much as I can.”
