Kesler Hayden: Points are all that matter

Loanee reflects on Tuesday's success at Stadium MK...

7 April 2022

Kaine Kesler Hayden was pleased as MK Dons churned out another result to maintain their excellent run of form.

Courtesy of their 2-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra at Stadium MK, the Dons have now won 11 of their last 14 matches and have picked up the most points of any side in England since the turn of the year. They currently sit second in the Sky Bet League One table, two points clear of Rotherham United.

“Points at this late stage are what we need and we got them in a tough game,” Kesler Hayden, who was named Man of the Match by match sponsors 80K, said afterwards. “We're churning out results.

“We knew we had to respect the opposition and go into it like any other. The boys gave 100 per cent today and you could see that out there.

“We went in (to half-time) with a 2-0 lead so expected them to come out flying because they had nothing to lose. We had to battle it out and they got that late goal, which we should have prevented, but we got the points and that's what we needed.”
