Kasumu: I'll give 100%

Kasumu shared his thoughts on his season so far, giving an insight into how he has dealt with his injuries and how much he is looking forward to this afternoon’s fixture at Stadium MK.

When questioned about the physical toll an injury can cause to a player, Kasumu responded: “It’s tough for any player to get injuries, but it’s a part of the game and it’s all about how you bounce back from it.

“After my setbacks my focus has been toward, how can I comeback? How can I make an impact and help the team as soon as I am back? I’m just focused on the positive things.

“The medical staff here are brilliant, they help you step by step and the management staff always keep you in the loop. I’m happy to be back, I’m happy to be with the boys and there’s no better feeling.”

Even throughout his time on the sidelines, Kasumu has remained a fan favourite, with all wishing him well and awaiting eagerly for his return.

After the central midfielder was asked about how this has an impact, he said: “It means a lot. These things really help you when you’re in the physio room.

“You may think that you’re forgotten about, but you still hear your name mentioned and they still keep you in the loop.

“There’s a real togetherness in the club and it really does help, because it makes you even more eager to get back, whilst still feeling like a part of it.”

He added: “I’m fully fit and healthy and I’m ready to give it my all, whatever it is I’ll give it 100%.”

After that, questions were asked about today’s visit of Shrewsbury and the thoughts leading up to this game, as MK Dons enter the last seven games of the season.

Kasumu replied: “Shrewsbury will be a tough game, they’re a good side and they haven’t conceded too many goals, we will have to play our best to get three points.

“In this league anyone can beat anyone, each game is a challenge and all teams come with their own qualities, we just need to overcome that and play our best in order to win.

“Every team you face you need to play at your best in order to win.”
