The West Ham loanee shared his thoughts on his MK Dons experience so far, as well as his feelings on implementing himself into Liam Manning’s side so swiftly.
The Irish international has featured in every game since his loan signing on January 18th. When questioned about his personal experience with the Dons, he said: “I’m massively enjoying it, there’s a real feel-good factor around the place.
“Previously being at a place where my opportunities were limited, makes me grateful for every opportunity that I get now, it also makes me want to treat every game as if it’s my last.
“I have learned a lot and some of the football we’re playing is great to be involved in, I’m really happy that I’m here playing and it’s currently enjoyable at every level.”
After the number 14 expressed how ‘happy’ he was at Stadium MK, questions then shifted toward the team he has fit so well into.
“We’re a young team not only are we developing as that, but we are also improving as individuals as well,” he said.
“We’re understanding our roles a bit more, and that’s then leading to individuals showing their abilities off better than before.
“There are some real top players everywhere in the team and there’s some real competition, it’s great to see.
“it’s a great sign of the squad when players can come out and be changed but the level stays the same, I get to see training every day and some of the levels in training are top tier.”
Coventry also spoke of his admiration for the hard-working levels of the players throughout the squad, adding:
"A real strength of the squad is our competitiveness as well as our togetherness, everyone is on the same page and pulling in the same direction.”
