England Under-21s beat Kosovo 2-0 at Stadium MK as 5,781 turned out to watch the Young Lions in action for the first time under Lee Carsley.
Carsley’s side took the lead just 10 minutes in courtesy of a Rhian Brewster penalty. Cole Palmer then doubled the advantage with a stunning second goal, beating his man inside the area before finding the net from a tight angle.
That was how it finished in MK as the Young Lions kicked off their 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship Qualifying campaign with three points.
