Report: Women 7-1 Keynsham Town

Jade Bell and Chez Albert bag braces in dominant win...

13 September 2021

MK Dons Women cruised through the Determining Round of the FAWNL Cup thanks to a 7-1 victory over Keynsham Town at Stadium MK.

Charlie Bill’s side took the lead after only 12 minutes when Chez Albert converted from the penalty spot, after she had been brought down inside the area.

Their lead was soon doubled through Laura Bright, who managed to get the decisive touch after Nicole Pepper’s cross caused havoc inside the Keynsham box.

Jade Bell then made it 3-0 in stunning fashion, collecting the ball on half-way before beating two defenders and slotting home under the goalkeeper.

Bell doubled her tally soon into the second half to add a fourth for MK Dons before Albert also completed a brace with a long-range effort.

With under an hour played, Vicky Neal made it six, getting the slightest of touches on Pepper’s cross. Rhianne Rush then rounded off the Dons’ scoring with a fantastic strike from inside the area.

Keynsham added a consolation goal late but that did little to dampen the Dons’ mood following a dominant display at Stadium MK.
