Under-18s pick up second win of the season...

25 October 2021

A young MK Dons Under-18s side came from behind two goals down to beat Sutton United 3-2 at Woughton on the Green and secure their second EFL Youth Alliance win of the season.

The visitors made a fast start and found themselves 2-0 up after just 15 minutes but Lewis Johnson was able to half the deficit before half-time, finishing off a move he started with a close-range finish from Callum Kane’s low cross.

MK Dons pulled level just past the hour mark when Joel Anker converted from the penalty spot before Lewis Huntley won the match with a quarter of an hour left to play – the substitute latched onto Simon Orphanides’ cutback and turned home from the edge of the six-yard box.

MK Dons: Sandford, Orphanides, Kane (Huntley 67), Gymafi, Torsiello, Mann, Johnson, Lucas, Bombo, Anker, Smart-Tull (Boyce 90+1).

Subs: Anthony, Tripp, Brady.

Goals: Johnson (24), Anker (69 pen), Huntley (75)

Booked: Sandford, Gyamfi
