Scott keen to see more improvement

Midfielder hopes to be even better following strong debut season at Stadium MK...

31 May 2021

Scott Fraser led MK Dons with 22 goal involvements in the 2020/21 season but the Players’ Player of the Year is striving to be even better next term.

Fraser scored 14 goals and provided eight assists during his first campaign at Stadium MK, playing a key role as the Dons established himself in Sky Bet League One.

Next term, however, the Scot wants to see improvement on both a personal level and from a team perspective.

“It’s about getting a good pre-season in, with a settled squad and going again,” Fraser told iFollow MK Dons. “We got off to a slow start last season but in the second half of the season, we’ve really stepped up and kicked on.

“Credit to the coaching staff for that, with the how hard they work in drilling the style of play into new players. I think we’ve seen how much we’ve improved – the same for all the players who have come in.

“I would like to keep improving too. It’s important that I’ve been able to show I can contribute in both areas with goals and assists but I want more next season. I’d certainly like to score more open-play goals.”

Fraser also believes the boost of having supporters back inside the stadium will contribute to that progress.

“Hopefully we can get as many fans as we can because I think it will improve us,” he said. “Personally, I love playing in front of fans and I’m sure I will be better for it.”
