50 up for Kasumu!

Midfielder hits half-century of club starts...

3 May 2021

David Kasumu made his 50th start for MK Dons in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Fleetwood Town.

The 21-year-old midfielder has made 24 of those starts this season, with 19 of them coming in the league.

Kasumu becomes the eighth MK Dons Academy graduate to reach 50 professional starts for the Club, following in the footsteps of Adam Chicksen, Dele Alli, Sam Baldock, George Baldock, Callum Brittain, George Williams and Daniel Powell.

Meanwhile, Jay Bird was handed his league debut as a second-half substitute in the clash at Highbury Stadium. The young striker has totalled three appearances in all competitions since his debut earlier this season.

Looking forward, Scott Fraser is on the verge of making his 50th MK Dons appearance. The Scottish midfielder only arrived at Stadium MK in September but has been virtually ever-present this term and has already tallied 49 games in a Dons shirt.

Warren O’Hora is one away from making his 50th career appearance but will have to wait until next season due to a foot problem. Cameron Jerome, currently sidelined with injury but with a chance to return to action this Sunday, is a league start shy of 400 for his career.
