Tuesday’s late winner saw Scott Fraser reach double-figure goals for the first time in his career – but the MK Dons midfielder doesn’t want to stop there.
Fraser stepped up to the penalty spot with less than a minute remaining against Plymouth Argyle and confidently dispatched from 12-yards to earn the Dons a valuable three points at Stadium MK.
“I actually didn't realise it was so late,” Fraser admitted in his post-match interview with iFollow MK Dons.
“I back myself when I get the opportunity (from the penalty spot) but it’s the first time I've changed my mind. I probably won't be able to sleep because I'll be wondering why I wanted to change, knowing it could have been so different. I'm just happy it went in and we got the win.
“I wanted to get 10 (goals) at the start of the season - I think getting 10 from midfield is a really good return. I want more, though!”
On the win, Fraser commented: “I think we deserved it - we were really good today.
“I see a lot of the social media stuff about how good we are on the ball, but you don't see how good we are off it, how hard we work. You don't see teams out-playing us because of how hard we work.
“We’ve looked a lot more solid. We’ve still had a shaky couple of efforts of our making, but we'll keep working on that and getting better.”
Scott Fraser and MK Dons will look to make it three wins in a row when they travel to Burton Albion this Saturday.
