Hiram Boateng started for Cambridge United during their 1-0 win over Port Vale.
The Midfielder suffered a shoulder injury in December and missed two months of football after having surgery in his shoulder.
Boateng was handed his first start of the calendar year at Vale Park - he was subbed off on 69-minutes.
Mark Bonner's side remains top of the table after their 1-0 win.
Sam Nombe was not involved for Luton Town.
