MK Dons Sport and Education Trust (SET) are delighted to announce a three-year extension to their principal partnership with Brioche Pasquier.
The investment will see the French family-run business, who have been operating out of Milton Keynes since 2014, continue their support of the SET’s community activity.
MK Dons Chairman Pete Winkelman said: “This is a really important partnership. We are so proud of the work that is done by our Sport and Education Trust and the support of Brioche Pasquier enables them to do so much for our community.
“They have re-affirmed their commitment to the SET by signing up for another three years and that has given them a great foundation to build upon, as we look to grow and move forward.”
Olivier Ripoche, Managing Director of Brioche Pasquier, commented: “Ever since the company was founded, over 40 years ago in France, we have kept the local community at the heart of everything we do so, after establishing ourselves in Milton Keynes, it was important to us to get involved and support families and children locally, which our partnership with MK Dons and the Sport and Education Trust helps us achieve.
“We understand everyone is going through a difficult time and as a business we have faced some obstacles during the pandemic which makes it all the more important that we play our part by supporting the SET and allowing them to be there for the people of Milton Keynes.”
Just as they have been doing for the last three years, Brioche Pasquier will help allow the SET to continue providing education, social inclusion and wellbeing programmes to people across the Milton Keynes community and surrounding areas.
What’s more, the partnership will see Brioche Pasquier retain sponsorship of the MK Dons Legends Game, which is set to return in 2022, while there will also be volunteering opportunities within the SET for Brioche Pasquier staff.
The partnership deal will continue to feature PITCH - a popular range for children, that feature their PITCH Chocolate Filled and PITCH Choc Chip brioche treats. PITCH is perfect for on-the-go, lunchboxes or as a quick snack.
MK Dons SET Chairman John Cove said: “We are absolutely delighted. This partnership started with the sponsorship of the MK Dons Legends Match and from there relationship has grown from strength to strength.
“On behalf of the board of trustees, and all of our staff and participants, I would like to say a massive thank you to Brioche Pasquier for their support.”
Maralyn Smith, Chief Executive of the MK Dons SET, commented: “During the last year, Brioche Pasquier have enabled us to keep contact with our local community, supporting us with our food banks as well as our educational activities.
“Moving forward, their sponsorship of the Study Centre will allow us to continue providing educational pathways for the people in Milton Keynes looking to get back into work or into further education.”
Community Ambassador Dean Bowditch, who will now become an ambassador for Brioche Pasquier, added: “This is massive for the SET. The support they have given us to this point has been exceptional, so we are extremely happy to have them on board for another three years.”
Brioche Pasquier Marketing Executive, Amy Carey, said: “The MK Dons Sport and Education Trust really match with the core family values of Brioche Pasquier, and it is so rewarding to see the joy that the SET coaches and staff are bringing to the people of Milton Keynes.
“As a business looking to grow in Milton Keynes, we really want to ground our roots here in the community and a big part of that is working with the Sport and Education Trust and their connections.”
MK Dons Commercial Manager Andy Wooldridge said: “Brioche Pasquier are a global brand but importantly they share a similar ethos to the Sport and Education Trust - they are eager to play their part in supporting the local community.
“They have made a real show of commitment by signing up for another three years but for them, it isn’t just about giving the Sport and Education Trust the financial backing, they want to be hands on and involved in the work they are doing and I know the SET are keen to support them and their development within Milton Keynes as well.”
