Scott Fraser signs for Ipswich Town

Midfielder moves for an undisclosed fee...

14 July 2021

Milton Keynes Dons can confirm the departure of Scott Fraser to Ipswich Town for an undisclosed fee.

Fraser, who moved to Stadium MK on a free transfer in September 2020, made 50 appearances last term and scored 14 goals, nine of which came from the penalty spot.

Sporting Director Liam Sweeting said: “Scott was a player who did brilliantly for us after joining the Club on a free transfer last summer.

“Given how well he did, and that he was entering the final year of his contract, we anticipated lots of interest in him this window and eventually we have got to a point with Ipswich Town where a deal has been agreed that is right for MK Dons.

"This is another example of us trading successfully in a challenging transfer market and with six weeks left of the window, we remain fully focused on bringing the right calibre and character of player that can improve us for the season.”

Manager Russell Martin added: “Naturally we are disappointed to lose Scott but we were prepared for this eventuality.

“An important part of our recruitment process is succession planning and we are incredibly excited with both the players that we already have in the building, and those we hope will arrive before the end of the summer transfer window.”

The Club would like to thank Scott for his important contribution last season and wish him all the best in the future.
