Dons play their part in MK's vaccine drive

MK Dons squad visit Saxon Court Vaccination Centre...

6 July 2021

The MK Dons squad are playing their part in protecting the country from COVID-19.

Players were invited down to the COVID-19 Vaccination Centre in Saxon Court on Tuesday to receive their first Covid-19 vaccinations.

The COVID-19 vaccines are the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19, reducing your risk of getting seriously ill or dying from COVID-19; reducing your risk of catching or spreading COVID-19 and providing protection against COVID-19 variants.

“First and foremost, thank you to Saxon Court for inviting us down,” Performance Director Simon Crampton told while speaking at the COVID-19 Vaccination Centre.

“With the players having their vaccines, we can protect them and their friends and family, while it will also enhance our bubble and, ultimately, keep our players on the pitch and maintain the integrity of our squad.

“Furthermore, once players have had both vaccinations, they can, once again, go into schools and various community sectors and engage with our fanbase – something we haven’t been able to do over the past 16 months but something that is so crucial to us as a Football Club.”

Crampton added: “It’s really important that we protect not only ourselves but society in general and that is why we at MK Dons encourage everybody who is eligible to get their vaccinations.”

All adults aged 18 or over can now get vaccinated against COVID-19 and you do not need to wait to be contacted by the NHS – click HERE to book!
