Russell Martin says MK Dons have ‘a lot of plates spinning’ early on in the January Transfer Window.
The January Transfer Window opened last Friday, providing EFL clubs with the opportunity to bolster their squads heading into the second half of the 2020/21 season.
MK Dons are one of those sides who will be looking to alter things this month and Martin is hopeful that those moves, both in and out, can occur sooner rather than later.
“We’ve got a lot of plates spinning,” the manager said in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup tie with Burnley.
“We’ve worked very hard on a lot of things and we’ve got three or four things that could end up happening quickly but also could drag on. I just can’t give exact timelines at the moment.
“With the lockdown it does change things. Times are hard for the whole world, not least the business, but the Chairman and Andy have been very supportive in our aim to strengthen this month.
“We’re expecting departures fairly soon and obviously we’ll want to get people in even quicker than that. There will be people signing but I just can’t say when. We just have to wait and see to see.”
