Charlie Brown says the second he heard of MK Dons’ interest in him he was ready to visit Stadium MK and speak to Russell Martin.
Brown, who joined MK Dons in the January Transfer Window says Martin’s style of play coupled with the vision he has for the Club made his decision to join the club easy.
The 21-year-old had been with Chelsea since 2016 after joining from Ipswich Town, while he also spent time on loan with Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. Having left the Premier League outfit on a permanent basis, Brown believes he’s ready for the step into league football.
“I’m delighted to be here and over the moon to get the move done,” Brown told iFollow MK Dons. “It’s a really good developing club with a great set up, the stadium is amazing and I just can’t wait to get on the pitch and play.
“I heard of the interest around Christmas time and I was really excited by the news. I couldn’t wait to come down and see the club and see what the gaffer had in mind for me as a player and the way the team plays is a really good style of football. We have a lot of possession so I’m hoping I’ll get a lot of chances and score some goals.
“Chelsea was great and I had some good years there and learnt a lot to come on leaps and bounds as a player. This is the next step for me coming to MK Dons, we play good football and that suits me. That was the most exciting thing for me I like the plan we have for the future and I really like Russell Martin so hopefully I can come in and hit the ground running.
“I’m ready for the step into men’s football.”
