Tali Jallow came off the bench to help the Gambia to a 1-0 win over Cameroon in their first warm-up match ahead of the 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Jallow came off the bench with the scores deadlocked at 0-0 and was heavily involved for the final 25 minutes as the Young Scorpions secured victory.

The Gambia play Burkina Faso on Tuesday as they continue their preparations for the tournament, which is set to kick-off on 16 February.

Jallow & Co face Morocco in their opener before taking on Tanzania three days later. They then wrap up their group campaign with a derby match against Ghana on 22 February.

The top two teams from each of the three groups, along with the two best third-placed teams, will progress through to the knockout stages of the tournament, which take place from 25 February.

The four who make it past the quarter finals will not only compete for a place in the Final, but will also represent Africa at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia later this year. The Final is set for 6 March at the Stade Olympique Nouakchott.

mkdons.com and the Club’s social media channels will keep supporters updated with Jallow's progress during his time at the tournament.
