Talibeh Jallow and his Gambia side begin their 2021 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations adventure this evening.
The Young Scorpions face Morocco in their opening game of the competition at the Stade Municipal de Noudhibou, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm.
The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, will progress through to the knockout stages of the tournament.
Gambia U-20 Coach Matarr M’Boge has challenged his team to be at their best in order to upset the odds against Morocco.
“I feel we are under less pressure than them because they’re the favourites but it will be a good game and we will give our best to give our people back home and fans a reason to be proud.”
The Gambia share a group with Morocco, Ghana and Tanzania, with their Group Stage exploits concluding on 22nd February 2020.
