Andrew Cullen provided an update on the new MK Dons training facility during his appearance on MKFM’s MK Dons Fans Forum on Tuesday.

It was announced in September 2019 that the Football Club had reached an agreement with Milton Keynes Development Partnership (MKDP) and Milton Keynes Council (MKC) with regards to developing a new state-of-the-art training facility at the MK Bowl.

During Tuesday’s Forum, Cullen revealed progress has been made on the development, including news that the Club now own the site at the MK Bowl.

"The good news is that we took ownership of the bowl on the 1st of January, so the contracts were all exchanged on the site,” the MK Dons Executive Director said.

"We haven't made a big deal of that just yet because the next big thing for us will be when we get the planning permissions, in order for achieve everything that we want to do.

"It has occupied a huge amount of time for the Chairman over the last 12 months. We are working with architects, Populace, who were heavily involved in the design of the stadium.

“We are looking at the different layouts and what we want there, not just with pitches, but with buildings on the site that we want to. Obviously, they are a lot of stakeholders in there and we’re trying to build something within the site that works for everybody.”
