Report: Luton Town 1-4 Under-18s

MK Dons sign off 2021 with a victory...

20 December 2021

MK Dons Under-18s signed off the calendar year with an impressive 4-1 win away at Luton Town.

Goals from Ethan Light, James Meadows, Joel Anker and Dani Lucas (pictured) earned the Dons three points in their final game of 2021.

Luton led at the break but Light levelled the scores 12 minutes into the second half, heading home from Joel Anker’s in-swinging cross.

The Dons then found themselves in front on 64 minutes through Meadows, who got in front of his marker to meet a Lucas delivery and prod past the Luton goalkeeper.

With 10 minutes to play, Joel Anker doubled the advantage courtesy of a fantastic strike. The first-year scholar brought Charlie Waller’s cross under control with his knee before rifling home on the volley.

Lucas rounded off the scoring five minutes later, latching onto a pass from Waller - who did well to win possession on half-way – before keeping his composure and slotting a left-footed shot under the Hatters keeper.

MK Dons: Westen, Wood (Orphanides 70), van Aurich (Ogundega 60), Light, Stirland, Waller, Bombo, Gyamfi, Kane (Meadows 60), Anker, Lucas.

Subs: Ogundega, Orphanides, Meadows.

Goals: Light (57), Meadows (65), Anker (80), Lucas (85)
