MK Dons’ Sky Bet League One fixture versus Burton Albion, scheduled for this Saturday, has been postponed.
The clubs informed the EFL that they would be unable to fulfil the fixture at the Pirelli Stadium due to a number of positive COVID-19 cases in their squads, with consideration to giving as much notice to supporters as possible ahead of the weekend.
In light of the increased transmission rate of the Omicron variant, the EFL will now review the circumstances surrounding the postponement. In addition, it will assist affected Clubs throughout this challenging period to help them mitigate against the risk of infection amongst players and staff, while ensuring their obligations to the EFL regulations are maintained.
A rearranged date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course. Match tickets purchased will be valid for the new date while those who cannot attend will be entitled to a full refund. The same applies to those who booked official away travel through the Club.
