Mo Eisa was pleased to be able to send the MK Dons fans home happy after his goal earned Liam Manning's men their first three points of the season.

Eisa struck home with 26 minutes left to play in Tuesday night’s clash with Charlton Athletic, complete a comeback victory after Troy Parrott had cancelled out Jayden Stockley’s early opener.

The win was MK Dons’ first of the campaign, but also their maiden success under new Head Coach Manning, and was the perfect response from the weekend defeat to Sunderland, also at Stadium MK.

“It's a great day getting our first win in front of our fans,” Eisa said in his post-match interview with iFollow MK Dons.

“We were disappointed after Sunderland, because we should have come away with something, so to get three points and, for me to get a winner, is special.

“For the new management team too, we're delighted to get the win. (Liam Manning) was delighted for us and we're delighted for him. Hopefully it's the start of some great things.”

On his winning goal, Eisa said: “There's nothing better than scoring, getting three points and sending the fans home happy - that sends us home happy!

“I had one (chance) in the first half where I just swung at it but I knew I couldn’t beat myself up about it. I knew if I kept going, eventually one will drop to me and I’d get that opportunity to score.

“It was a great feeling to score and seeing all the fans happy makes me happy!”
