Liam Manning says MK Dons are still looking to add to the squad prior to Tuesday’s deadline but only if the right fit is there.
Clubs in England have until 11pm on Tuesday to complete deals before trading ceases until January.
MK Dons have signed a total of nine players during the summer which has the squad in a good place approaching the deadline. Manning, though, still wants to add a fresh face to the group – but only if they are the right fit.
“Possibly,” the MK Dons Head Coach told the media on Saturday when asked whether there would be any late business at Stadium MK. “There are some bits we're looking at and hopefully we can add another one before the window closes.
“It's extremely difficult at this time but it's most important to get the right person and the right fit, rather than just get a body for the sake of it. Some club's panic and force things to get people in but, for us, it's about getting the right people.
“I look in-house and I'm happy with the current squad. We've got a real blend of characters, quality and strengths. If we add, it has to be the right person and the right thing we need to complement and enhance what we already have.”
