MK Dons Women are delighted to announce the signing of defender Sofia Stovold from Tottenham Hotspur U23s.
The 20-year-old former Millwall and Arsenal centre-back becomes the first signing of the summer for the Women’s team.
Charlie Bill, Head Coach had the following to say:
“As soon as Sofia become available we knew she would be a great fit for both the way we play and the values we have at this club. She is excellent on the ball, her bravery when playing out from the back provides a lot of confidence to players around her.
"She has shown real leadership quality since coming in and will benefit massively from her first experience in senior women’s football. This signing represents another massive step in the right direction for this football club."
On signing for the club, Sofia had the following to say.
“It’s a really exciting time for me moving into senior women’s football and I’m looking forward to gaining experience at this level and to be challenged physically and mentally.
"My time with MK so far has been really positive, I’m a big fan of the discipline and support the women have and I am buzzing for the upcoming games at Stadium MK”.
