O'Hora expected to miss final weeks of the season

Defender out with a foot problem...

Russell Martin has confirmed Warren O’Hora is likely to miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury.

The Irish defender has enjoyed an excellent first season at Stadium MK, impressing enough in his appearances prior to Christmas to see his loan move from Brighton & Hove Albion made permanent.

He isn’t, though, expected to add to his 35 MK Dons appearances before next season due to a persistent foot problem that has finally become too painful to play through.

“We'll do well to get him back before the end of the season,” manager Martin told the media following Saturday’s goalless draw with Ipswich Town.

“It's been a persistent issue which has been managed well, but he just can't keep going on. He's just fallen victim to playing so much football but also training on AstroTurf all the time – it has just kept flaring it up.

“He has been outstanding this season and he will be a big loss, but we'll get him ready for next season.”
