Scotty looking forward to getting sharper

25 September 2020

Scott Fraser made his MK Dons debut last Saturday and in the process played his first Sky Bet League One fixture since March.

The 25-year-old says that while he’s in good physical condition – nothing will match playing competitive games.

The Scot noted that he worked hard during lockdown to ensure he was in good physical condition heading into the season and added he can’t wait to be back to full fitness to contribute goals and assists for Russell Martin’s side.

“I can now start to feel my sharpness coming back,” Fraser told the media ahead of Saturday’s clash with Crewe Alexandra. “I was fortunate I was working with a couple of my pals in Scotland. We had a group of us working but the environment is completely different.

“I did a five-minute run before Doncaster and felt good, but as soon as we done some ball work I could feel I wasn’t there.

“If the gaffer wants to chuck me in – I’m fine with that. I spoke to him Tuesday and there could be a start coming up in the EFL Trophy. I’ve said I want everything now, but it’s a long season with a lot of games so we need to be careful with that.”

Fraser concluded, “I scored nine goals by January last season and it’s an ambition of mine to keep scoring more each season and I want to help this team do as well as possible.”
