The home dressing room at Stadium MK has undergone a makeover ahead of Saturday’s Sky Bet League One home opener with Lincoln City.
With support from the new home dressing room sponsor OSMO UK, Russell Martin’s squad will prepare for this weekend’s match inside a stylish new facility – complete with individual lockers that also help to facilitate the Covid-19 safety protocols that are in place.
Long-time sponsors and clubPlatinum members OSMO UK have funded the renovation work inside the home dressing room, with Steve Grimwood, Managing Director of OSMO bursting with pride to see his company’s logo inside the Dons dressing room.
“I’m really happy and it’s great to see the final product. I’ve been coming to MK Dons for 10-years now, I’ve sponsored lots of players, managers, and various matches. I’m very pleased to help MK Dons produce a great home dressing room.
I think it’s a very big year for the Dons, hopefully, if they are all sitting in nice comfy seats and looking at their shirts hanging nicely – I hope it’ll reflect on the pitch – I’ll be watching to see.”
The culture and environment at Stadium MK is something Russell Martin has looked to change over the Summer to ensure the club has a fresh feel heading into the 2020/21 campaign.
“It was really important so I’d like to send a big thank you to Steve and the guys at Osmo for helping the club to do it – their support over the last few years has been great,” Martin told mkdons.com.
“I’m really appreciative and grateful, as are the new players, of the new dressing room. It was really important to me to make things feel different from last season the players need to keep driving and improving standards and the dressing room is part of that.
"We used to spend every day in the away dressing room – now we’ve moved into here. Hopefully, it gives them that little bit extra going out onto the pitch and that little bit extra when representing this fantastic football club.”
Commercial Manager Andy Wooldridge said “When Russ approached me asking whether I could find a sponsor for the home dressing room, it was certainly a first for me after more a decade working in football. Knowing how much he is always keen to help the club when he can, Steve was the only person I called about this opportunity. Working with our media team, we will be providing OSMO with some amazing exposure from the behind the scenes coverage during the course of the season.
This sponsorship further demonstrates how MK Dons provides varied and unique ways for businesses to gain exposure to MK Dons supporters and many other people from Milton Keynes and beyond.”
