Andrew Fisher believes MK Dons is the ideal place to kick-start his career.
The goalkeeper, who spent the second half of last season on loan with the Dons, completed a permanent return to Stadium MK on Deadline Day, opting for Stadium MK as the place to continue his development.
“I had another year at Blackburn so I could have stayed there but I felt this was the best place to come to kick-start my career,” Fisher said in his exclusive interview with iFollow Mk Dons. “Hopefully I can do that.
“I was speaking to Dean and Russ throughout the window. I was number two at Blackburn at the start of the season so couldn’t really go anywhere but they signed a goalkeeper so we were straight on the phone and this moved happened. I’m delighted it has.
“I really bought into the way the team wants to play. I like the importance of the goalkeeper in this team - bringing the ball out and starting the play. The main thing is obviously keeping the ball out of the net but it’s part of my game that I can do really well with.
“I really like working with Dean and I feel like he can get the best out of me. Last year, me, Lee and Laurie all pushed each other. Ultimately, we all want the number one shirt and I think there’s a healthy competition for it.”
