Hiram Boateng and his Cambridge United side came from behind to overcome Salford City 2-1 on Tuesday evening.
Boateng retained his place in the Starting XI as Salford City were the visitors to The Abbey Stadium.
Ashley Eastham gave Salford the lead with 31-minutes gone, however, Jack Iredale equalised for Mark Bonner's two-minutes before the break.
With 49-minutes on the clock, Iredale was fouled inside the box leaving the referee no other choice than to award a penalty. Joe Ironside stepped up to convert and give Cambridge all three points.
Cambridge United face Shrewsbury in the Emirates FA Cup this weekend.
