Andrew Fisher was named Man of the Match following his impressive performance against Sunderland, however, he was quick to praise the rest of his team following the victory.
Fisher made a string of impressive saves to secure all three points for the Dons in just his sixth appearance for Russell Martin’s side.
The 22-year-old was eager to highlight the togetherness within the Dons dressing room and how much a win meant to them as a group.
“Over the last few weeks – we’ve really grown as a team,” Fisher told iFollow MK Dons following the full-time whistle. “We showed on the pitch what three points meant to us – we all stuck in there for each other.
“It's a massive win, we were excellent throughout, defended well in the second half and overall we deserved the win.
“There were some really experienced players in the team who organised the team and kept us in it, organised the team. We kept our shape and defended the box really well.”
The game, however, is now in the past for Fisher, who has said all his focus is now on Saturday’s clash at Stadium MK with Hull City.
“We want to keep up the momentum now. We're unbeaten in the last four league games so we have to keep picking up points and see where we go from there.”
MK Dons will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One to five games when they welcome second-placed Hull City to Stadium MK this Saturday.
