On this day in 2015, defender Joe Walsh made his move to Stadium MK a permanent one – extending what is now a five-year association with MK Dons.
Walsh initially joined the Dons on loan from Crawley Town in March 2015, featuring twice as Karl Robinson’s men secured promotion to the Championship for the first time in the Club’s history.
The Welshman’s stay was made permanent in the summer and he has since gone on to total 143 appearances for the Dons – just 10 shy of Willy Gueret’s 150 which ranks 15th in the Club’s list of all-time appearance makers.
He is also one of only three players to achieve multiple promotions at Stadium MK, following the successes in 2014/15 and 2018/19. Dean Lewington (2007/08, 2014/15, 2018/19) and Keith Andrews (2007/08, 2014/15) are the other two.
