World Champion Judd Trump has praised the ‘amazing job’ of the team who have helped to get the Matchroom.Live Championship League underway inside the Marshall Arena.
Live sport returned to the UK on Monday, when Trump took on David Grace in the first of many matches to take place over the next 11 days at the home of MK Dons.
“Everyone involved has done an amazing job to get us underway,” said Trump, who won all three of his group matches to progress through to the next stage of the competition.
“I felt it was important to set an example to come here, turn up and show my support for everyone who has tried to get this event on and everyone who has been involved behind the scenes.
"It would have been easy to sit back and made excuses and let other sports take the initiative but everyone behind the scenes has done an amazing job and put us at the forefront of sport at the moment.”
Matchroom.Live Championship League continues today [Tuesday] with Jack Lisowski, Luca Brecel, Robbie Williams and Oliver Lines in Group 9 action on table one. Michael Holt, Mark Davis, Mark Joyce and Louis Heathcote feature on table two in Group 3.
