Chairboys secure promotion to the Championship
Wycombe Wanderers edged out Oxford United at Wembley Stadium to seal promotion to the Sky Bet Championship via the Play-Offs.

Gareth Ainsworth’s side beat the U’s 2-1 in order to reach the second tier, meaning Oxford will remain alongside MK Dons in Sky Bet League One next season.

Sunderland chairman steps down
Sunderland owner Stewart Donald has stepped down as chairman.

Donald, who holds a 74% stake in the Black Cats, told BBC Radio Newcastle that he remains intent on selling the Club to a ‘suitable new owner’.

Donny stalwart Coppinger to remain at the Keepmoat
Doncaster Rovers midfielder James Coppinger has signed a new deal with the Yorkshire club.

Coppinger, who is due to celebrate his 40th birthday in January, will be playing his 17th season for Rovers, whom he has made 658 appearances for in all competitions.

Burton sign Scottish winger
Burton Albion have signed Livingston’s Steven Lawless on a one-year deal.

The 29-year-old winger scored 11 times in 38 appearances last season for the Scottish Premiership side.

Rovers recruit duo
Bristol Rovers have signed midfielder Josh Grant and defender Jack Baldwin on free transfers.

Grant spent the 2019/20 season on loan with Plymouth and was available after his release from Chelsea at the end of last month.

Centre-back Baldwin, meanwhile, joins the Pirates after his contract expired at Sunderland.

Imps add Dutch defender
Lincoln City have signed defender Lewis Montsma from Dutch second division side FC Dordrecht.

The 22-year-old is a versatile and aggressive defender who joins on a three-year deal.

Swindon secure Hunt’s future
Swindon Town have handed a 12-month contract extension to defender Rob Hunt.

The full-back, who scored one goal in 40 appearances for the Robins last season, is now tied to the County Ground until June 2022.

Plymouth lose midfielder Sarcevic
Plymouth Argyle midfielder Antoni Sarcevic has joined Sky Bet League Two side Bolton Wanderers.

The 28-year-old made 114 league appearances for the Pilgrims and helped them win promotion to League One this season.

Cobblers keep hold of Hoskins
Northampton Town striker Sam Hoskins has signed a new two-year deal with the club.

Hoskins has scored 32 goals in his five seasons at Sixfields, including his 12 in helping Keith Curle's side win promotion via the League Two play-offs.
