Russell Martin offered his gratitude to the MK Dons supporters for their backing over the festive fixtures at Stadium MK.
Home fans turned out twice in the space of three days to watch the Dons take on Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers, and were rewarded with six goals and six points by Martin’s men.
“They have been brilliant since I joined the Football Club,” Martin said when asked about the fans in his post-match press conference. “I truly appreciate it and the players are grateful for it too.
“They are a part of this group. We are growing together as a Football Club and they are a huge part of it – the most important part of it.
“I appreciate the support and hopefully we’re giving them something to believe in now.
“I think there were a few people with raised eyebrows when I was given the job but hopefully they’re starting to see that we’re working every second of the day to try and get this Club to where it needs to be.”
