Loan round-up: Walker in inspired form for Clarets

Only two MK Dons loanees in action this past weekend...

The weather meant only two MK Dons' loanees were in action over the weekend.

Laurie Walker was in inspired form for Chelmsford City, helping them earn to a point at home to Eastbourne Borough.

An entertaining start to the match saw the scores tied at 1-1 after only eight minutes and Walker played his part in ensuring it stayed that way, making a number of crucial saves – including one deep into stoppage time to deny Greg Luer.

The point lifts Walker & Co up to ninth in the Vanarama National League South table. They are four points adrift of the play-off positions but do hold a game in hand on 7th-placed Dartford.

Elsewhere, Jamal Sule played 90 minutes for Wantage Town but couldn’t prevent them suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Thame United. They remain bottom of the BetVictor Southern Division One Central table.

Charlie Pattison wasn’t in action, with Biggleswade Town’s BetVictor Southern Premier Division Central fixture with Barwell postponed due to an unplayable pitch.

Neither was Finlay Brennan after Kempston Rovers had their trip to Welwyn Garden City called off too. There was no fixture for George Rose and Crawley Green this weekend.
