Alex Gilbey's strike against Gillingham has been named December's Papa John's Goal of the Month.
It was a month to remember for Alex Gilbey as the midfielder scored three Goal of the Month contenders on his way to winning Sky Bet League One Player of the Month.
The 25-year-old can now add Papa John's Goal of the Month for December 2019 to his Trophy Cabinet with his goal against The Gills winning the award.
Having received the ball from Sam Nombe, Gilbey flicked the ball over his marker before driving past Jack Bonham in superb style.
Gilbey won the award with 37.8% of the vote, while his goal against Portsmouth placed second with 31.9%.
Conor McGrandles' goal in the same game earned him third place with 15.6% of the vote.
