Ben Gladwin says he’s enjoying part of the MK Dons dressing room and can’t wait to step back on the Stadium MK pitch later this evening.
Gladwin joined the Dons in the January following his release from Blackburn Rovers and in the process reunited with Luke Williams.
The midfielder noted that Williams, alongside manager Russell Martin and his coaching team of Dean Thornton and Ryan Harley, have created a positive environment at Stadium MK, one where players are enjoying being part of the squad.
“It’s really enjoyable to come to work every day and be a part of this team,” Gladwin told the Red Dot Programme ahead of tonight’s clash with Rochdale. “The manager has taken over fairly recently and you can see an upturn in performances and results since he’s taken over – that’s reflected in the dressing room.
“There’s a good laugh every day but, when it’s time to work, we all get ours heads down. I think having a strong dressing room helps because you’re willing to help each other out and run that extra yard for your teammate.
“I’m loving being back with Luke [Williams] too. I think he’s class and it blows my mind that he isn’t at the top level, to be honest. Hopefully, he can showcase his work here alongside the rest of the staff. They are a brilliant group of coaches and they are a brilliant fit for each other.”
