Rhys reaping the benefits of hard-work

15 February 2020

Rhys Healey believes his fine run of form this season is a reward for all the hard work and extra hours he’s put in, not only this season, but throughout his career.

Healey has already netted 10 goals in all competitions this season, the highest tally he’s totalled during his time as a professional footballer.

The 25-year-old has scored in each of his last four Sky Bet League One appearances and despite his impressive stats, Healey wants more from himself in front of goal.

“It's an unbelievable feeling, but I've worked hard for this,” Healey told the local media earlier this week. “It's not just for me, it's for the team, the coaching staff. As long as I can chip in with more goals - it will help all of us.

“It is good to know my ratio is good and I'm scoring, but I back myself so I want to score more and help the team out.”
