MK Dons are back in Sky Bet League One action after 11 days this afternoon as they welcome Bolton Wanderers to Stadium MK.
Russell Martin’s men were without a game last Saturday, however, due to Tranmere Rovers' game being postponed, the Dons stayed 10 points clear of the relegation zone. With no break from now until the end of the season, Martin's men have 13 games to secure their objectives.
The Dons return to Stadium MK for the first time since their 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers at the start of the month. A similar result this afternoon will give the Dons an important boost heading into the final stages of the season.
Kick-off is at 3pm.
THE OPPOSITION
Bolton Wanderers enter today's clash in 23rd in the Sky Bet League One table, however, Keith Hill's side do have three games in hand on Southend United who sit directly above them.
Bolton started the season with Phil Parkinson at the helm before Hill took over the reins in late August. Hill recruited a number of experienced faces on Deadline Day with Joe Bunney, Ali Crawford, Josh Emmanuel, Daryl Murphy and Chris O'Grady all joining the Club.
They added more depth to the squad in January with Jacob Mellis, Ryan Delaney, Brandon Fleming and Kean Bryan just a number of their new faces during the Winter Window.
Currently at the top of their goalscoring charts sits Daryl Murphy who has scored eight goals this season, while also registering two assists. Elsewhere, Joseph Dodoo has four goals and three assists, while Dennis Politic also has four.
LAST TIME OUT
Rhys Healey scored the fourth straight game as MK Dons earned another valuable point on the road in Sky Bet League One.
Healey fired home a third-minute free-kick to give Russell Martin’s men an early lead at the LNER Stadium but Lincoln City restored parity midway through the first half courtesy of Liam Bridcutt’s stunning strike.
Bolton Wanderers, meanwhile, fell to a 2-0 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers last Saturday. Defender Asistote Nsiala scored an own-goal on the stroke of half-time to give Wycombe the lead at the break before Joe Jacobson netted a penalty shortly after the hour mark.
FIGHTING TALK
Russell Martin: "This is not a bad Bolton team. Their league position is a false dawn, with their points deduction and playing the youth team early in the season. They're tough to play against. They've not been on a great run, but they don't lose big. They've got experienced, robust players and they're a team that can hurt others and score goals."
TEAM NEWS
Striker Joe Mason could return for MK Dons after a short spell on the sidelines due to a muscle tweak.
His comeback would provide with a near fully-fit squad, with only goalkeeper Stuart Moore sidelined through injury. Callum Brittain, who missed the draw with Lincoln City, and Carlton Morris, who limped off against the Imps, are expected to be fine for this afternoon's match.
Midfielder Ali Crawford should return for Bolton Wanderers, while forward Ronan Darcy is also expected to be a part of the squad for today's game.
Anthony Georgiou, though, is still not available.
OFFICIALS
Ollie Yates will run the rule over this afternoon's clash at Stadium MK.
Mr Yates has brandished 96 yellow cards in 28 matches this term, while also dismissing seven players - he has also awarded four penalties this season.
His last MK Dons game, meanwhile, came in their 3-0 defeat to Burton Albion in Sky Bet League One.
His assistant referees are Samuel Ogles and Paul Graham while the fourth official is Daniel Cook.
