Louis Thompson is looking forward to Saturday’s return to Stadium MK action, following their break from Sky Bet League One football last weekend.

MK Dons welcome Bolton Wanderers to Milton Keynes looking to extend their unbeaten run to five games and secure their sixth home win in seven matches.

Midfielder Thompson, who has tallied up five appearances since arriving on loan from Norwich City last month, is excited to get back to work and continue building on the recent good form.

“We’re looking forward to getting back out there and showing what we can do as a team,” he told this weekend’s edition of Red Dot – MK Dons’ matchday programme.

“Having a free weekend certainly builds the appetite for fixtures, but when you’re in a good spell of form like we are, you want to play games. What a break does allow though, is an opportunity to work on things that we need to improve upon.

“We’ve got a tough couple of fixtures coming up, starting against Bolton Wanderers, so we need to make sure we attack it from the start.”

The Dons enter the weekend 10 points above the bottom three in Sky Bet League One, with a chance to increase that gap by securing victory over 22nd placed Bolton at Stadium MK.

“These games have a lot of impetuous on them and we are eager to keep our run of form going,” Thompson added.

“As players, we’ve really build a connection now, so it’s time to push on and keep emulating the recent results.

“I hope our performances level stay high from now until the end of the season and, if so, I’m sure we’ll get what we deserve.”
