Alex Gilbey says he’s loving playing alongside striking trio Carlton Morris, Rhys Healey and Sam Nombe.
The three forwards have netted a combined 15 goals for MK Dons this season and have proved to be a handful for opposition defenders so far this campaign.
Their combination of strength, speed and power have made Morris, Healey and Nombe favourites among the Dons faithful.
“He’s ridiculous – I love playing alongside Carlton,” Gilbey told the media last week. “Since he came in, I got a connection with him straight away - those are the sorts of players you love playing with.
“Fair play to the gaffer for pulling it off, and hopefully he can stay a lot longer than he's expected to. He lets his football does all the talking, even if he has a bad game, which he hasn't so far, his hold-up play brings others into the game, he's not selfish - hopefully he'll keep doing it and he'll keep scoring goals.”
Rhys Healey, meanwhile, has now taken his tally to the season to 10 goals having netted in the last four Sky Bet League One fixtures.
“Rhys is on fire at the minute and he's scoring every week. It's a hell of a finish. If it fell to anyone else you'd be thinking I'm not sure, but as soon as I saw it was him I knew it was a goal.
“That's what you get with Rhys – even if he's having a bad game, you know he's got a chance in him and you know he's going to take it. If we can keep him fit and firing, we'll be fine.”
