Lasse loving Dons loan

7 December 2020

Currently experiencing his first loan in professional football – Lasse Sørensen states that he’s loving every minute of his time at Stadium MK.

The 21-year-old joined MK Dons in the Summer Transfer Window from Stoke City and has since made 17 appearances in all competitions.

The Dane praised the Dons dressing room for making him feel welcome and spoke highly of the connection the team has off the pitch.

“I really am enjoying myself – I like all the boys and we have a really good connection all the way through the team. I really like the coaching staff too – they are constantly trying to make us better.

“I think we’re still a new squad – so at the beginning, it’s always going to be hard. You can see us now getting more relaxed and getting used to each other – that makes it easier.

Sorensen grabbed his second assist of the season in last Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Charlton Athletic as his perfectly weighted pass was met by Scott Fraser who slotted home the winning goal.

The midfielder covered how he’s been utilised in different positions in midfield – something he’s happy to do.

“I always want to do my best. Against Barnet, I played as a defensive midfielder, and I was an eight against Charlton - no matter where I play - I'm just trying to do my best.”

Tuesday’s Papa John’s Trophy clash with Norwich City Under-21s will see fans return to Stadium MK for the first time since March. Sorensen is yet to play in front of the Dons faithful and says he’s excited for his first meeting with the supporters.

“We're looking forward to it. I haven't seen Stadium MK with fans before and I'm really looking forward to it - it has been a long time without them.

“It's a positive for them to be back and it's what we've wanted for a long time.”
