Bill reflects on opening stages of the season

22 December 2020

In what has been a difficult season off the pitch with the stop-start nature of the campaign, MK Dons Women’s Manager Charlie Bill has reflected on the opening eight fixtures.

MK Dons currently sit fourth in the table – just four points off the top of the table. They’ve netted the second-most goals in the league (23) and have picked up the most wins in the division (8).

“We’re gutted that we couldn’t have one final game in 2020.” Bill posted on Twitter. “I can safely say the first six months of this season has been up there with the most enjoyable moments of my coaching career so far.

“In what has been a stop-start season so far, I have been really proud of all the staff and players and how they’ve stood up to every challenge. We’ve had setbacks along the way but the way everyone has shown the change of culture and philosophy on and off the pitch is something that pleases me most.

“There has been a real improvement this season and I know it’s down to everyone’s hard work.”

Bill concluded, “Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far this season and we look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you to all the players, staff, volunteers for their dedication.”
