Football academies across the UK are taking part in a cup of different sorts this Summer in response to Covid 19 and MK Dons have got their eyes on the prize!
Launched by online learning provider, YourFavouriteTeacher, young players are being encouraged to catch up on their academic studies over the summer holidays.
Aimed primarily at players moving into the U16s next season this cup will help re-establish positive routines around learning and prepare young players for their GCSEs, Jon Goodman, Academy Manager, MK Dons said: “We are excited to be competing in the Catch Up Cup alongside a number of other professional Academies.
"The concept is a brilliant way for us as a club to engage with our younger players on aspects of education as well as some of the tasks that require the players to be creative and innovative. “
Kate Meeks, founder of YourFavouriteTeacher added: “With sixteen clubs across the country joining in this cup it really is fantastic to see so many young players engaged with their learning.
"The response from them all has been overwhelmingly positive, in particular the efforts of the boys at MK Dons – so impressive!.”
Founded in 2018, YourFavouriteTeacher is an online GCSE Learning platform used by schools and football academies across the UK.
