It’s safe to say Ben Gladwin has had a roller coaster 24-months, but the MK Dons midfielder says he is now in the best shape of his life ahead of the upcoming campaign.
The curtailment of the 2019/20 came just as Gladwin was hitting his best form in a Dons shirt. Instead of seeing the negatives, Gladwin used the time off to get into the best condition he’s ever been in.
The 28-year-old spent the off-season not only improving himself physically - but also mentally.
“I used the time off well, to be honest,” Gladwin told the local media. “I'm in the best shape I've been for a few years. I feel good, I feel I'm moving properly and I want to put that to good use in the games.
“I feel I'm pretty much there, I'm not a million miles away. For me, getting through pre-season fit and well and ready for games will be the main thing.”
Gladwin added, “I can't say I love all the running, but knowing my body is getting closer to where it should be to be the best I can be, I'm looking forward to that.”
