George Williams insists he, and the rest of the MK Dons squad, know they should be performing better than they have been this season.
So far this campaign, The Dons have six points from their opening five Sky Bet League One games, and currently sit 15th in the table.
The 26-year-old noted that, while the Dons have played well in cup competitions, the performances in the league aren’t up to the standards he’d like.
“We all feel we should be doing better,” Williams told the local media ahead of Saturday’s clash with AFC Wimbledon. “We started well, but we've come of it a little bit recently.
“Cup competitions have been good for us, but in terms of the league, we all need to take responsibility and admit we're not where we want to be.
“First and foremost, everyone who plays has that responsibility to look at themselves and see where they can do better.”
Williams also touched on the impact the Dons fans have on the squad.
“The fans have been great so far this season and you can feel it on the pitch too.
“For the fans, Saturday’s game is huge. We have to put 100 per cent into every game, so we have to look at it like every other game - there is spice there though.”
