Wednesday's attendance tops previous record set by the Emirates FA Cup tie with Chelsea....

A Club-record crowd turned out to watch MK Dons take on Premier League leaders Liverpool at Stadium MK.

The two sides went head-to-head on Wednesday in the third round of the Carabao Cup, with Jurgen Klopp’s UEFA Champions League winning Reds coming out on top 2-0 thanks to goals from James Milner and Ki-Jana Hoever.

A total of 28,521 supporters were in attendance, which is the biggest in the Club’s history, surpassing the previous record of 28,127 set back in January 2016 when MK Dons took on Chelsea in the Emirates FA Cup tie.

The Stadium MK record for football remains at 29,669 for the international friendly between Brazil and Cameroon in November 2018. The Stadium MK record for a sporting event is 30,048 which was set in October 2015 when Fiji played Uruguay in the Rugby World Cup 2015.
