Striker reflects on defeat to Stanley...

2 September 2019

Kieran Agard says he and his MK Dons teammates will work hard on the training ground to put things right, after Saturday's defeat to Accrington Stanley.

Agard opened his account for the season in the 18th-minute of the clash against Stanley before second-half goals from Colby Bishop and Mark Hughes completed a turnaround for John Coleman’s side.

The striker admits the defeat was tough to take.

“We’re all disappointed," Agard told the local media following the full-time whistle at the Wham Stadium.

"Things just didn’t go for us for whatever reason. We’ll get our heads down in training and move on."

He added: “It was nice to get a goal but I'd swap it for the win. We didn't get the result we wanted.

“We've got that chance to play again on Tuesday, and we're all itching to do that. We'll prepare right on Monday and try to move forward.”
